Chocolate in Oaxaca.

La Soledad, chocolate and mole, on the street of chocolate stores, near Abastos Market. Here you can taste the three kinds of drinking chocolate (above), with different spices and depths.

The best Mexican chocolate comes from Oaxaca, so this has been yet another kind of pilgrimage.
Cocoa bean roasters and grinders.

Mole tasting -- with a collection of mezcals in case you want to pair.

I have passed on Seattle's Theo Chocolate several times as I've been traveling, as a calling card from my home town (I live six blocks away from the factory in Seattle.) Everyone's liked Coconut Curry.
